Story-telling was my passion. As a little girl, I remembered entertaining the neighboring grown-ups, to some cartoons and dry-sugared cornflakes (a kiddie version of pop-corn?). What I loved, were where films could take you, on adventures, like with a 'blue magic robotic-cat' or on a musical adventure, in many lands, far-far and away. So far in fact, that some were even in black and white (which took me, rather a while to work-out). But, nevertheless, film always allowed me to "explore, sore and be inspired." While my high-school / career counselor persuaded me to explore 'Media-Studies' - I graduated Film/TV production in my local school, majoring in Theatre, later to move to the bright lights of the big city, to study performance at NIDA. (A big deal, in those days). From there, I worked and traveled the globe like a gypsy, over 5 countries and over 5 continents. I worked on productions for some media companies, along the way such as Disney and the BBC, but yet never failed to continue my love for independent productions or art-house cinema, like the short-films corner at Cannes. While traveling the world meant learning different languages and culture, it also contributed to my passion for world cinema. Thus, I came upon FilmDOO, as a home to international films. Telling stories, exploring diversity and most of all, available in languages from all over the world. Here, we can all DOO - what I love best, which is to explore! Many films, DOO break-down cultural boundaries and transcends beyond nationalities. Making us all different, but yet connects us all as one - That's why, I am and forever-still, that 'child-at-heart' / film-buff who loves to DOO-films.
