Drifter Eunice searches the motorways of the north for a mysterious woman named Judith, leaving a trail of corpses in her wake. Arriving at the next service station she meets Miriam, the slow-witted, drab attendant behind the counter. The pair are strangely drawn to each other and that night Eunice seduces her new companion then takes off again.
