The story of Mae Nak is a retelling of a Thai tale which is tweaked and sited in modern Bangkok.  The use of technology to produce a believable horror film that is at par with The Ring and other Asian horror films. It is  more about the message that tells of love as lasting forever, even beyond death. I was touched about the idea of the eternal of love and I feel that the Thai people also feel the same way. I am glad that they shared with us a piece of their culture through this movie.
